About Me!

Hello, my name is Summer Lamont, and I am a first-year student-athlete at Vermont State University–Castleton. I am from Massachusetts located on the South Shore and a Class of 2025 graduate of Braintree High School.

During my four years at Braintree High School, I was a part of the Braintree High Student Press, an award-recognized publication by the New England Scholastic Press Association. Through this experience, I pursued my passions for photography and journalism, gaining hands-on experience in print and video media while also serving in editorial leadership.

Currently, I am a Communications major with a minor in Photography, balancing my academic and athletic commitments as a member of the Castleton Women’s Soccer Team. I earned first-semester placement on the Dean’s List while contributing written work to the collegiate publication, The Castleton Spartan.

As an athlete myself, I am naturally drawn to sports photography, capturing high school and collegiate athletic events. I have also gained valuable exposure to the professional sports photography landscape, with experience photographing MLS, NFL, and NHL events. My work has been published across media outlets, including: Sports Illustrated, Forbes, CBS News, Fox Sports, and Bleacher Report.

Through these experiences, I’ve discovered the most meaningful part of my work: connecting with people. I am deeply passionate about my craft and my clients, which is reflected in every session. Transforming my love for sports into a creative outlet beyond the field has been incredibly rewarding. Portrait sessions are one of my favorites, as they allow me to celebrate personal milestones as well as to connect with my client. I specialize in senior portraits and sports photography, and I look forward to sharing my joy I gain from my work with those I get the privilege to work with!
